For the second time in two years, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, has chosen the Treasure Coast for his tee time.
Sure you have plenty of people concerned over how much this visit will have cost us in the end. Heck the plane rides alone cost the tax payers over $600,000 according to the local tv news. I know the law enforcement costs will also be high. Plenty of people took to social media to complain about the road closures too.
Everyone seems to be missing the point. One of the most powerful men in the world chose our area for fun and relaxation. He could have gone anywhere but he chose to fly into the St. Lucie County International Airport and play golf at the Floridian in Palm City, Florida and that's pretty cool in my book!
