It has come to our attention, that a fellow Realtor of Keller Williams Realty Southwest in Sugar Land, Texas has been in the hospital for the last week of March 2008 and is courageously battling Cancer. Even with the assistance of various agencies that have been able to write off many of the bills, they are still in excess of $100,000.

John has no medical insurance, as many of us don't. We want him to concentrate on channeling his energy into getting better. Our immediate goal is to raise $25,000

How you can Help?

We're asking each of you to make a small donation of $25.00 as a one time gift, or whatever you can afford. Your $25.00 would really help John pay some of those bills. Monthly pledges are welcome.

Please send all donations to:

Keller Williams Realty Southwest        John Morris Fund

C/O John Morris Fund

Sugar Land, Texas 77478

Please help us help John, it's a terrible situation to be in and we know that the Keller Williams family and the entire Realtor family will support him and in this life experience.

Thank you in Advance!

John has been a friend of mine for over a dozen years and has been part of the Fort Bend real estate scene even longer. He is a genuinely nice guy that has had some tough luck lately. Put yourself in his shoes - wouldn't it be great to know you could count on your friends in your time of need? Pay It Forward and do your part to help John.

John is one of the most caring Realtors I know.  He is constantly willing to help all of us agents at Keller Williams and always has a smile for everyone.  Please help out someone with such a wonderful attitude in what can sometimes be a stressful business.

In business and in life we want to be the best we can be without adversely affecting others around us.  John is that type of person.  When there is anything a fellow agent needed to have answered, he is there.  His selflessness is a humble quality that makes him standout above the rest.  He uniquely identifies with everyone in their own unique quality.  Let us lift John up in spirits and keep him in your prayers!

We all love John. My first impression in KW is his loud laughters! I always enjoy talking with him. His friendliness really draws new agents closer to KW! I have been here for 2 years now. It's like I have known him forever! It's so sad to hear what happens. This is the time that I wish I could have the money like Opera! I am not Opera and I can only do very little at a time! Let's all pray for him! It does not matter if you are Christian, Catholics, Buddists, or anything! Please say a little prayer for him on a daily basis! When we all gather to do the prayer, it reaches up there faster! Or even just a thought could make a difference!

Dear God, no matter what lies ahead him, please bless him with your peace! Please always keep his heart filled with love from all his friends and family! Please let him know that he is not alone! In your name, we pray! Amen!

John is a special person and a rare breed. He is one of the brightest lights in our office. He is always smiling, friendly, and goes out of his way to help people. If any of us were facing what John is facing, we would want to know that our professional community is supporting us. PLEASE make a donation to help defray his tremendous medical expenses.

We love you John!

John and I share office together. I've known John for over 7 years.   He is the best person

you can ever meet.  He's always willing the go the extra mile for the agents in the

office.  He volunteers his time freely with teaching and sharing his knowledge

about the real estate market.  It's time we assist him with his needs.  Let help

spiritually and financially.  He's also an Eagle Scout.

What a great opportunity we have to help a wonderful person. John has always been there to answer questions for me and give me a word of encouragement. He is so well known in the real estate industry and so well loved that we have to stretch out our arms and help. If only 1,000 of us give $25 each, we will easily reach our goal of $25,000. I continue to be amazed at the kindness of strangers who don't even know John. Let's keep this going.

Look for our table at the Fort Bend HAR Luncheon this Thursday April 17th. We'll be giving out postcards as a reminder and please sign the poster when you donate. This will be given to John when we meet our goal.

I continue to be amazed at the kindness of strangers who don't even know John. Let's keep this going.

Thank you.

Thanks John.

John Morris is a dear friend of mine. He was my mentor when I joined Keller Williams Sugar land office couple of years ago. I'm really saddended to hear this news. Life is unpredecitable and everybody needs to reflect on that and donate generously to help a very honorable friend. I will pray for John's recovery and my donation will be in the way.

John was my working partner for more than a dozen years.  John is also my friend.  I have always found John to be a man of his word.  I am not a person who trust everyone, but I have always trusted John.  John does have the greatest laugh of anyone that I know, and he always make me smile.  Now is the time to come to John's aid.  Send in your donation, and say a prayer for healing of a great individual.

Wow!! I just read all these wonderful comments about John Morris...the man, the friend, the legend. I, too, would like to add to these tributes to a truly wonderful guy that I have known nigh on 11 years.

We all know that John is extraordinarily friendly, courteous, kind, thrifty, loyal, and courageous (he gets some of those qualities from sharing an office with uber-boy scout Dan Goon). But beyond how John acts is what John is. He is a Christian gentleman in the best way. He always seems to think of others before himself. He is always there if someone needs a helping hand. And now he needs a helping hand along with our prayers and donations. I can't think of anyone who deserves them more.

God Bless and God Speed.

We love you, man

Fellow Agents,

I just wanted to let everyone know we had a great response to the Caring Realtors John Morris Fund at todays HAR luncheon. Many agents and vendors contributed, and the poster is filling out nicely with signatures. Today we raised over $1,000 at this meeting, and these donations came from people giving from thier hearts at the spur of the moment. This was heartwarming for me to see the support for John and all the people he touched in this industry. It makes me proud to be part of this effort.

I also wanted to thank the other agents who helped out our committee members. Khanh Vo who helped place cards at each table. Chris Vo for greeting and asking for donations. Christine Timmons and Ro Ling for gathering up the extra cards. Every one of our KW Family members helped out. I believe this is just the beginning and we are gathering momentum in our efforts. I know everyone in our office has given so much to this cause. I ask for your continued support to raise awareness for this campaign. Let your vendors and contacts know. Show your clients why we take pride in being a family at our company. Help us get the word out. We do have extra postcards to distribute if anyone needs them just ask me or any committee member.

Lets not forget to thank those who contributed and they should hopefully be posted on the website soon. Especially our vendors and homebuilders who donated at this event. Let them know its not just appreciated by John, but by our entire KW Family here. Also lets not forget to thank Diane Moore at HAR for providing us a table and allowing our efforts at this event.

Have a great week everyone, thanks so much for your help and support.

(to the chorus of "I Can't Say No" from Oklahoma ..& begging forgiveness from Rodgers & Hammerstein)

John's just a guy that can't say no,

even if he's busy at the time

even if he helps with a whine

even if he thinks your a swine....

He can't say no!

Whenever I have needed help throughout the years, John is always there with some advice. During my first year in the business I called him at 11 pm and he actually helped instead of telling me to bug off!  Of course now I can not only count on his advice but also on his inability to keep a secret (you know it's the truth, John boy). So what kind of bribe can we use now to wheedle info out of him since he's not eating much? Hmmm. Any thoughts on the subject?

John is an awesome guy. I have known him since I was 19...which technically wasn't too long ago...but anyway, John has been like a father to me...in fact, we always joke about how I am his son, though I prefer grandson. John has been in the Ft Bend real estate community for many years now, and it is just amazing to see all of the support pouring in from all over the place.

John may actually come strangle  me for this, but I will never forget one of John's more recent birthday parties. We had quite a few people from the office at a local restaurant. Anyway, a couple hours (and drinks) passed and one of the people at the party started doing her version of Marilyn Monroe's 'Happy Birthday Mr. President'. It was absolutely....awesome...I have never seen John turn so many different shades of red all at once. Needless to say, a good time was had by all.

Get well soon John!!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for thier support towards this effort. Everyone has given and done so much and we still have more work to reach our goal. For those that donated financially thank you so much for kindly giving from your hearts.

For those who cant contribute financially there are many other ways to help by volunteering at one of our upcomming events, raising awareness in the community about our efforts, and supporting John during a difficult time.

Lets remember John has incurred some extrodinary medical bills from his diagnosis and hospital stay. OUR EFFORTS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR JOHN ARE GOING TOWARDS HIS CONTINUING TREATMENT WHICH HE NEEDS TO GET BETTER, once that is accomplished we can work on the previous expenses.

I've worked with and had the pleasure of knowing John for a number of years now. I'd like to say I've always admired and respected him for the professional way in which he's always conducted his business. Not only did he take excellent care of his clients but he was a joy to work with. John's laughter can light up a room and was contagious. We've not only worked together but celebrated many birthdays and holidays together. His presence added extra "life" to any occasion where we "gathered". Please come out and support John at this difficult time. John has touched so many of our lives, let's all reach out to him now in his hour of need. I am blessed to have John is my life and to consider him a friend.

Hey John-

I was trying to think of ways to help you out through the months/weeks since you helped me so much with ideas and problem solving!  So-- I decided that I will chime in every now and then and try and tell you something funny........like a story- or a day in my life, or a dream etc. Now I cant promise side splitting humor but I will give it a try....my disclaimer- some may be tacky- or "colorful" as you once told me I was...but thats just how it goes right?? :-)

Shane said you read these so I thought Id give it a try?

I thought of this idea today as I was driving to the team meeting...which was in Richmond.  I was driving and apparently got very lost. Yes- the directions were simple to some but to me- lost. I was driving and driving.... using some choice words to try and figure out where the $%^& I was going when I realized my car was on empty and in the middle of corn fields. Both sides or the road- corn fields. Now I dont know if you have ever watched a scary movie- but corn fields are ALWAYS a bad sign, not to mention I was in heels and in a car with the gas showing low! HELLO class B  scary movie!

...so as I made my way back to civilization I thought  some people in the world might find my stupid stories at least somewhat interesting/ammusing and why not share? Besides the humiliation factor I mean ;-)

Anyway- I will chime in here and there. If I bore you at least you will get some good sleep in ;-)

IF you cant take it  or dont want me to send please tell me and I will stop :-) That is- if I dont get gunshy and decide I cant share my stories- ha.

Take care and stay strong!

E.

Well- I am now rethinking my offer to devulge stories. IS this all of KW or just our office?

Ha- bottom line- from experience and what I have seen - laughter can do wonders to the body so that is what I was trying to say.

So here are some jokes instead :-) and yes they are very korny.

1st

A woman has twins and gives them up for adoption.

One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Ahmal" The other goes to a family in Spain; they name him "Juan."

Years later Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth mother. Upon recieving the picture, she tells her husband that she wished she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her husband responds "They're twins! If you've seen Jaun youve seen Amahl."

2nd joke-

2 termites walk into a bar and one asks- is the bar tender here?

3rd- a jumper cable walks into a bar and the bar tender says- Ill serve you but dont start anything!

yes- these are bad- but clean! Finally-

A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour the manager came out of the office and asked for them to disperse. "But why?" they asked as they moved off..."Because," he said, "I cant stand chess-nuts boasting in an open foyer."

Yep- painful wasnt it?

Ok- thats all I have for now. Have a good day :-)

Well- I DO have a new story for you John I just thought of.

Yesterday I got one of those calls on my cell that was a fax machine. You know- every time you answer its BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP in your ear. This happened about 6 times in a row and I would call back to see who was calling and BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP in my ear. Needless to say after an hour of the fricken BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP I lost my patience.

I mean- I thought it was probably on automatic and never ending! So the last time the phone rings I answer it and yell ( in choice words)  " This is a CELL PHONE #_ _ _ _ER!" and hung up.

Ok- ok- a bit harsh but HELLO!

Within 1 minute I get a call back. Apparently from a law firm who had the wrong number- but they heard me yell through the fax machine so they were calling to say hello and sorry! LOL!!

The lawyer and I laughed and laughed and I said- ya know...when I hung up I questioned if anyone really would hear me-it was more for myself then anything- my little rant..........well- they heard me....and my lovely language. :-) and had to call.

Great stuff huh? Well- I thought it was funny at least.

Ok- have a good day!

We're looking to get a Golf Tournament in honor of the John Morris fund. Does anyone have any suggestion? I've narrow the golf course list down to three course with our cost at around $55 per player including food. Any advice would be helpful...

I'm thinking about calling the tournament "Beat the Texan, NOT!"
