Hernando County, Florida Home Sales Winter 2014/2015
Home sales activity in Hernando County, Florida, remained strong through the winter months. Home sales were particularly strong in November and December 2014 with 261 and 299 home sales respectively.
Hernando County home sales dropped off somewhat in January and increased again in February 2015. The drop in closed sales in January is a natural occurrence as homes typically go under contract four to six weeks before they change ownership which puts the time of contract signing into the December holiday time.
While average and median home sales prices in Hernando County also fluctuated, they are showing an upward trend.
List price to sales price ratio are relatively stable. However, with higher sales prices, they are also an indicator to higher list prices.
Currently, there are 1224 homes for sale in Hernando County, Florida. Another 634 homes are under contract.
