Gawd how I hate Windows especially 8.whatever. It would seem as long as Microsoft has been in business that they would eventually come up with a user friendly, stable and usable operating system. I am proud of them though they shaft their customers a little more each day and they are still in business. Talk about customer loyalty… IMHO, Instead of going forward like Apple, they are going backward. I still feel that the last rock solid OS was XP which they no longer support. Earlier today, in the middle of an inspection I got the equivalent of the dreaded ‘Blue screen of death’, the dreaded ’Spinning Circle’ which means the system has crashed!
After rebooting the CPU twice, it finally settled down, and worked until I finished the job. Needless to say, I lost valuable time giving credence to the age old adage, never let a computer know how much you need it. It will let you down every time. It would be nice if the OS was as stable, intuitive and stable as OS X. But then Microsoft is in their own little world.
I have not had much issues with Windows 7. I don't care for the change they made ot 8

Windows 8 is full of issues and I don't want to down load it. But I love Microsoft Word and the other tools that come with it.
Michael Thornton I have windows 7 and I love it . Last year I had to pay xtra to find a laptop that had windows 7 ..really don't know about windows 8 except every one complains but not as much anymore
Hi Michael - I thought after our conversation you were an Apple person, but you must use both. I could not go back after working on an Apple and their fabulous customer support.

I have had few problems with the windows systems. and still bemoan the loss of Windows XP
Hi Michael Thornton I don't know that pain yet. But I did with Vista which I still use on one of my laptops. The other is XP the one I am using now. I know I don't want to make the change and upgrade but to what is the question. Stability for sure.
Michael - your new profile is wonderful! You look so handsome and distinguished!
When I read your title, I immediately thought of glass windows on house... silly me. What you say about Windows is true. Nobody wants to face the blue screen; yet it happens. I too wish XP came back --- they were onto something good back then!
Have a wonderful day!
Morning Michael i guess I am one of those lucky people. I have and use 8 but I haven't experienced any problems with the system. Probably don't use it to the extend you do but so far so good.
Michael, also have 8 and like James no major problems. That said, it has its quirks tat take some getting used to! Enjoy your day!
Good morning Michael. I won't use it. It didn't take me long to uninstall 8 and replace it with 7. A bit of a pain, but glad I went back to the older version.
I kind of like windows.
They let in light. They let in air. They can make me feel better.
I kind of like windows.
Michael we can hope they will some day work out all the bugs, but each change new issues seem to arise. Kind of like AR :)

Ah, technology. It can drive you nuts. I use an earlier version of Windows because of all the problem I heard about with 8. Pretty happy that I do. Despite all the changes Windows does not seem to be getting better, and then there are all the fixes. Doesn't that tell you something?
