Children Summer Programs at Katy Family YMCA 2015

The Katy YMCA right now has Summer programs registration open for children but space is limited. If you want to enroll your child now is the time to act before your child misses out and spends all summer playing video games, texting, goofing off, getting into trouble or just doing nothing. Most of the programs if not all require people to be a program member of facility YMCA member. Among the programs available are:
Summer Day Camp: This day camp is open for children ages 6-14. the camp is held at the YMCA’s 220 acre Camp Cinco which is right behind Creech Elementary School ( 5905 S. Mason, Katy TX 77450). Activities include among many: swimming, zip line, archery, nature trails, rock wall, field trips, ropes and many more. I personally know all about YMCA Day Camp as I participated in one for several years while growing up. It kept me and many others out of trouble.
Swim Lessons: The YMCA has a long history of teaching swimming which is now over 100 years. All ages and ability levels are accepted and welcomed.. There are group lessons, private lessons, morning and evening lessons. Once again I can say I learned how to swim by attending group swim lessons at the YMCA. Swimming as I said numerous times is a life lesson and one all should participate in and learn.
Sports Camps: Sports camp offers youth specialized sports training in a day camp setting and are designed to teach sports skills, fair play, teamwork and sportsmanship.Several sports are available various weeks during the entire summer. We did not have any choices back in the day but we did had softball which I played for several years.
Specialty Camps: Talk about covering a wide array as available choices include theater arts, photography, cheerleading, dance, jump rope, tae kwon do.
Youth Sports Registration: This is for ages 3-14 and covers T-Ball, Track and NFL Flag Football.
