Earlier this week, I wrote a blog post called, 'You aren't on Facebook? Really?' Of late, Facebook has been my favorite social media platform because I have seen the most business come directly from my visibility and activity on Facebook. I participate on other platforms, but have yet to see the kind of direct and concrete returns I see from FB.
I have always thought that a lot of the reason for a social media presence is to validate 
your experience and expertise. I fully expect all my prospective clients to search on-line for me. When they do, I want them to see that I am active in the business. Since the only 'activity' that shows up when you search someone is an occasional newspaper article or their social media activity, it is important to me to build my presence.
