What Is Your Favorite Social Media Platform?

By
Real Estate Agent with Associate Broker, Momentum Realty

Earlier this week, I wrote a blog post called, 'You aren't on Facebook? Really?'  Of late, Facebook has been my favorite social media platform because I have seen the most business come directly from my visibility and activity on Facebook. I participate on other platforms, but have yet to see the kind of direct and concrete returns I see from FB.

I have always thought that a lot of the reason for a social media presence is to validate Lady at a computeryour experience and expertise. I fully expect all my prospective clients to search on-line for me. When they do, I want them to see that I am active in the business.  Since the only 'activity' that shows up when you search someone is an occasional newspaper article or their social media activity, it is important to me to build my presence.

What is your favorite platform? How do you use it to generate more business? Is it Pinterest? Maybe Linked-In? How about Twitter? Do you use Instagram? Of course, ActiveRain is up at the top of everyone's list! Are there others that you use and that you find helpful?

We are all looking for the advertising panacea...if you have found it, would you be willing to share your experience?

I use Linked In, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter in Addition to Active Rain and my own website blog.  I would say that posting on Linked In groups have been best for me.

I love Facebook because of the huge potential for engagement.  However, Pinterest is one of my favorites because of the potential to connect with people based on their hobbies and interests.  They'll follow boards because they love what I post (interior design, DIY projects, architecture) without the pressure of engaging with a "business".

I spend most of my time here, in the Rain. I learn a lot and share some of my updates. It is a great place to be.
