The snow is finally going away. Time to lace up those running shoes and join in the Foley's Backstreet Grille 5K to benefit Canton's Mass Hospital School. You don't need to be in tip-top shape to participate. There are always a variety of runners, walkers, people in wheelchairs and pushing wheelchairs and strollers. Everyone is welcome and everyone is cheered on.
Foley's also hosts an annual Golf Tournament. Between the 5K and the Golf Tournament they have raised thousands of dollars for the Mass Hospital school over the past few years.
The Third Annual 5K to Benefit the Mass Hospital School will be held on Sunday April 12, 2015 at the Mass Hospital School located at 3 Randolph St., Canton MA.
Registration begins at 10 am at the gym at the Mass Hospital School and runs through 11:45 am. The race kicks off at Noon. The race begins and ends on the grounds of the Mass Hospital School, with a party - complete with Foley's food and drink - following the race.
The Mass Hopsital School, located in Canton MA, is a health care facility that provides care to children and young adults who have severe and/or multiple disabilities. It is a wonderful place that provides medical and rehabilitative care so that its patients can each their full potential. Affiliated with the Department of Public Health, it is a non-profit always in need of more funds for its budget.

Foley's Backstreet Grille is a great local restaurant - one of my favorites with some of the best seafood around. They do a lot to give back to the community, not only by running events like this but also through their donations to other local events to support the schools, performing arts and more. They really know how to pay it forward. Canton is that kind of community.
My husband is already registered to run. I'll be there watching!
