Walking on sunshine in southern Utah!
With over 110 miles of maintained walking trails to choose from, people are able to enjoy the great outdoors in southern Utah year 'round!
What better way to get to know the St. George, Utah area better than to head out on the trails system? It was designed for active people in mind.
As Spring temperatures continue to climb, be sure you are hydrated and have fresh water on the ready as you travel on foot into the great outdoors. Please do not make the mistake of setting out unprepared, you may head toward heat stroke with a ride to the hospital in an ambulance.
Some advice while planning an extended walk:
- Pace yourself
- Apply sunscreen
- Put on a hat or cap
- Pack abundant H2O
- Take along snacks
Follow these easy guidelines and your walk or hike will be much more comfortable and prepare you for any unexpected surprises that may come along. Stop every now and then and have a tall drink of water to remain vertical while out on your adventure.
