I have once again started listening to the science of getting rich cds that I purchased and was rThe Science of Getting Richeminded of the grateful attitude.  See right now because of the slower market and less income coming in it is so easy to maybe focus on what one doesn't have or what one can't do or the fact that things tend to back up and get behind that we focus on those things and we forget all that we have to be grateful for.  I have so many things to be grateful for.....I have a loving family, both my family and my husbands family live close by and we can visit them anytime we choose.  My whole family is very healthy and doing well.  My kids are great kids, even tho one is 15 and one is 10, I have yet to see those "bad teenage years" that so many talk about.  Now I think this is a KEY - I have always said "I have great kids and I try to never speak in a negative manner about them."  I believe that you attract what you say!  Back to the book, it also taught me that focusing on what I didn't want to happen in my life actually brought it into my life.  Now before anyone gets to wondering, I believe that God, the Father, is the giver of all good things.  So I know who to be grateful to....  I also think that with my actions and attitudes I open the door for the things that I want to happen and the things that I don't.    If you want to check out the book go to http://www.making2008great.com/and download it for free.  It will definitely give you some things to think about.

I have noticed that having an attitude of gratefulness causes those around me to question me and it causes them to adjust their attitude.  It also changes my attitude about everything in life, even the problem situations.  I find that more often than not, this attitude is totally contagious, so I'm spreading it at every opportunity I can.

Excellent post David!  You are so right that during rough times with finances, we sometimes forget what we have been blessed with.  Your post is a good reminder that we need to have an attitude of gratitude.  Thanks!

David, This all ties into The Secret. I am currently reading The Key. It appears as if there are several parallels working together in order for us to obtain what we want. It seems to all start with an attitude of gratitude.

Being a fan of The Secret the same philosophy exists, in fact Wallace Wattles is quoted. If you have read the book I carry a "gratitude" rock in my pocket every day.  Giving is another commom trait of successful and happy people.  I am convinced that there are several parallel forces at work.

Denise, sometimes we just have to step back and take a look at life around us and then we will realize how grateful we should be.  Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Michael and Dan, I've seen the movie The Secret and the whole time that I was watching it I kept thinking about "The Science of Getting Rich" book.  And yes it does seem that it all starts with the attitude of gratitude.  And also when you're reading either book, it sounds so easy until you actually try to live it out.  It's amazing what mindset and words com without even thinking about it.  Thanks for stopping by and commenting, have a great night.

Impeccable timing! In the current market is is imperative to be grateful, lest we fall into self pity and fear. It is impossible to feel sorry for oneself when being grateful and it does indeed rub off on others! Thank you for a great start to my day!

Vanessa, thank you for your word right back to me, sometimes we need the same thing said in just a different way.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
