I have been posting blogs at the Activerain network for 7+ years now.
I became a member of Activerain back in January 2008 and have over 3800 posts on the network.
It's so strange to see less comments left at my posts that are written about Real Estate, it puzzles me.
Are there any other members at Activerain that also receive less comments when they post about Real Estate?

I know there are many AR members that post about Real Estate for business and really don't care about comments.
You would think that because the AR network is about Real Estate that there would be so many more about the subject matter ;o/

I never have had many in my thinking, then too when I go to a toastmaster meeting, most people do not want to speak they are an audience of there to hear or be entertained but that is about it.
my guess some have been selling more homes, and some have quit the business.

VB, I think it depends on what in real estate you are writing about. Some controversial topics still get lots of comments.

Hey Bob--Yes! I post mostly about real estate and to potential clients rather than other agents. I get very few comments on these posts. However, if I post a random Speechless Sunday or other photo...many more. Go figure!

General Real Estate info that benefits the Public will get comments. Listings, interest rates updates from WSJ, cut and paste from Inman, etc. will get little if anything.

I see so many listings and real estate material where they leave very little to comment on. (not yours) It is fact related. We only have a short window where we can follow subscribed authors so I find it hard to follow

I have not noticed that VB, seems I get about the same amount regardless of the topic, time of day or day of the week does make a big difference for me though.

I have experienced this as well. Some of my posts were suitable for agents and the public as well. I find that there is so much duplicate, generic info being posted for the points. Some of it is overkill and doesn't warrant a comment.

Robert - I noticed the same thing, I receive more comments on special days non real estate blogs.

Blogs about listings and market statistics seem to receive fewer comments than the blogs that have a broader interest.
Good photographs do seem to increase the number of comments.

Funny you mention this but I have seen this pattern coming in the past few months. I rarely get any comments on market reports and many real estate subjects get a few comments but.....if I post picures I get lots of clicks and comments. I posted a picture of a bird's nest recently and everyone commented. Can't understand it!
