Two Dog Parks are A Few of the Amenities at Confluence Park Delta, CO

Confluence Park really does have something for almost everyone. Even our four legged friends. There are two dog parks near the lake on the north side. There's a smaller fenced area for smaller dogs and a larger fenced area for...you guessed it...larger dogs.

Two Dog Parks are A Few of the Amenities at Confluence Park Delta, COIf you are traveling through the area, this is a handy rest stop for both you and your dog. Human restrooms are nearby, and your dog can get a break and stretch it's legs, too.

The locals find the doggie parks very handy, and it's a great time to socialize with your friends, and others, while your dog has social time, too.

Take some time to explore Confluence Park. It's a beautiful park with open and wooded walking trails and views of Grand Mesa. Your dog is welcome anywhere in the park, as long as it's on a leash. Fishing is popular, and there are also covered picnic areas. Many different species of birds live at the lake, and so does a family of foxes.

I wish we had more of them around here, Kristin Hamilton CA Realtor . Maybe one day soon. Delta is actually a community south of me about 15 miles. It's not always convenient for me to get there. My small town doesn't have a dog park yet, but I'm going to see if I can't make something happen.

I think it's a great idea, too, Larry. This way the little dogs don't get trampled.

I can't believe your community only has one dog park, Noah. I only say that because I thought a larger community might have more. Delta only has 8 thousand people.

We are very happy to have this dog park, Joan Whitebook . Now I hope to start working on getting one in my small town. Delta is about 15 miles south of me, and it's not always convenient to get there. Heck if I can help get a brewery started in town...why not a local dog park.

My little girl is just TOO alpha to turn loose.  One hair goes up on another dog and game on.  Makes me too nervous to let her loose.  These parks are great for owners and dogs alike.  Mark

Hi Debbie - that is great that you have dog parks for your pup to enjoy!! We have some here too, I generally don't take my boy, but I walk him a LOT, and he runs with me on the bike too!

What a wonderful facility to have in your area for residents and their 4-legged friends. I don't have a dog but know many who do and having doggie amenities nearby is very important to them. I need to write about what we have in our area!

Hi, Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint .  Lucky would probably get along with Halley fine. He's not an alpha. He wants to share and play with everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi, Sharon Paxson I also thought this information would be great for summer travelers passing through with dogs. This way the dogs get a chance to run and stretch their legs.

Dog parks are a wonderful thing for pets and owners, Debbie Reynolds . I'm also finding this a great way to get to know new people.

I have two great danes and when we lived in California we were at the park daily and spent usually at least two hours and even 3 or more. When I moved to Montrose went to the park at RIver Bottom and was disappointed. Was full of fox tails and even ended up having my female checked for one in her nose. I have been here close to two years and hate that they no longer have the social aspect of the park and their friends . My male was attacked by two large pitts before leaving Calif and he is much more vocal now . I think we are going to start driving to Delta and check it out and in one of your comments said a good way to get to know people We had the human social time as well as canine social time and all of our group cleaned up behind our dogs but there are always some who do not Hope to meet some of you soon
