I saw a "ghost bike" and it scared me.

ghost bike

A reminder to my fellow agents, please don't drive while distracted by your telephone. This ghost bike was spotted in the city of Albany, Oregon. It only takes a split second of distraction to cause an accident out on the road. The sign below was eerie in proximity to the memorial ghost bike, which I found at the side of a rural  road on a beautiful spring day, with the scent of flowers in the air. Even though I do not know this man , he  will be missed by me.

Good morning, Barbara - a somber but very necessary reminder.

Good morning Michael, I posted this because I keep seeing drivers talking on, looking down at cellphones while they drive. Yesterday a driver was stopped in front of me at a green light, too busy texting to notice the light had changed. Thanks for your comment!

Barbara, Many of my area roads don't have much room as it is, so if I were riding a bike I'd be terrified to be sharing the road with drivers that have enough trouble not hitting other cars, much less something smaller and slower like a bike.

Barbara, we have one bike like this in our community and it is a constant reminder for drivers to pay attention and yield space to bikers!
