Managing your time and prioritizing will be less of a headache if you FOCUS on one question - What is it that I NEED to do? To Do lists can preoccupy you and take you away from your main goal; keeping you busy by checking off task by task with the illusion of progress being made. After checking off everything on your to do lists, do you still feel unaccomplished? Understanding the difference between movement and achievement is KEY!
Those that have great time management skills tend to consistently focus on these things to produce REAL results & reach their goal in the time they predicted; Knowing WHAT, WHY, & HOW:
1. Knowing WHAT they want: aim for the result they are seeking
2. Knowing WHY they want it: the compelling purpose that gives them the drive to follow through to the end result.
3. Knowing HOW to make it happen: they have an action plan to get there.
FOCUS on the results that you desire & dig deep to find what DRIVES you. Start with the end in mind then create an action plan to reach your goals! There are so many things that compete for your attention in life. You live in reaction to the things that are happening (good or bad) so make an effort to take the time to decide what it is that you REALLY need to put your focus and energy into.
