Hi Kristen - Interesting quiz and a nice reminder that much of what we do to the environment can be easily modified for less impact.

Hi Dick Greenberg

Some of our old facts are not accurate anymore. I was sure the space heater was the answer to #8 and also Refrigerator answer for #9 but times have changed.

Kristin, very interesting answers and it does show we can all do a lot more to reduce our footprint here on Earth by being more proactive.

I do not, however, like being lectured by some of your Hollywood neighbors to the south about reducing our carbon emissions and water use when they reside in their 10,000+ square foot mansions and lavish in their lush green estate lawns.

Kristin, interesting  trivia.  One of those trees would produce 16 reams of paper. Definitely something to think about!

Hi Bruce Walter

I feel bad for people who cannot afford the tier adjustment for water. I have cut back for the past year and now they want me to cut back 25% more!

Hi Silvia Dukes PA, REALTOR, CRS, CIPS, SRES

Our company is paperless and I really try to not print much anymore. We used to print NHD reports but not any more and I really try to cut back.

Outdoor water use is a big concern here in the desert. That's why most people have low maintenance desert landscaping that takes very little water to maintain.

Yes I certainly understand that. I am selling a home in Palm Springs right now and the front and back are both done with rockscape and very little water. They have a few cactus' that flower and have a dripless system in the front for these plants only.

6 is not bad I only knew 4 of them?

Those are some crazy stats, especially about an entire tree for only 8000 sheets of paper? Gives a whole new meaning to the term "save a tree" when talking about wasting paper

Hi David Shamansky

It was a lot of unusal stats but I didn't realize a water heater pulled more electricity than a refrigerator. I guess I am still remembering the old stats.
