What it took to get to the Top Two

A couple of weeks ago I reached the top 2 spot on ActiveRain for all of Nebraska. It took a lot of time and effort to reach this point. Here's a rundown of what it takes to get to the top.

Mostly it took a lot of time. It takes time to write useful and meaningful blogs, respond to other member's questions, and update my profile.

Not far behind time is knowledge. In order for a blog to be of any worth there has to be some thought put into it. Luckily being a top agent in Omaha I have a wealth of experience to draw on when writing blogs that I think buyers and sellers will find helpful.

The third requisite to get to the top is a willingness to help. I get a lot of questions from other ActiveRain members and I try to answer each one in detail. I think helping others benefits not just the person helped but also the ActiveRain community as a whole and ultimately the public.

Getting to be one of the top ranked agents on ActiveRain was a lot like my journey of getting to be one of the top agents in Omaha. It took a lot of work and there were no shortcuts.

Congrats, and goodluck at hitting #1 :-D hopefull I will be there myself over time. I am still pretty new to this and I am in the mid 50's right now ( I don't think there are alot of AR members in MI but I haven't figured out how to check yet lol)

Troy, you are 100% right on the mark on this one! Congratulations on your ranking. Time and time again people are afraid of sharing their knowledge or ideas. The best idea on the planet is worthless unless you take action to make it happen. Most folks unfortunately forget that it you need to work hard in order to take action and implement a good idea.

Troy, you push yourself and go one step further - you take a good idea and make it better! It is not by accident that you sell 50 homes per year. I remember you when you first received your license - you simply did things that others were unwilling or afraid to do.
