Using Technology to help facilitate real estate sales: the air card

It is great! I am actually out of my office, actually, hundreds of miles away from my home town of Eureka, CA right now on business, and I am able to still keep up to date with my clients and check on mls listings because of technology.  Everywhere I go, I bring my laptop with me and list of things to do, and of course, I also brought with me the Internet.

How did I bring the Internet with me...you ask?  Mine is the Verizon wireless Internet "air card."  With this "air card" I am able to check my email, browse the Internet, check MLS listing updates and basically do everything I can as if I were still at the office.  I was able to write this blog on my laptop and upload it using my "air card."

So if you don't have it yet, I recommend getting yourself a laptop and the Internet Air Card to go along with it. That way you will always be in touch with your clients electronically and check up on the latest updates in your real estate market area.  I think Sprint makes a version of this Internet card also.

Great tip, but don't forget a Smartphone can do all that also and it's less expensive

Thavisak... one must be carefull with these air cards too. I used to have one and was paying a premium monthly fee and only getting a dial up service. Needless to say I canceled the air card. These days with a laptop with a built in wireless system you can get on the net almost anywhere and have high speed. The air cards are actually a thing of the past. Will park and see other opinions as well.

Buy Daytona condos for heavenly good prices
Or, thanks. Actually I think the comments are giving a lot of food for thought. I guess I would agree with Roland.

I have a Verizon air card as well and love it.  I can be at an open house, and be able to answer questions at the drop of a hat because I have high speed right there. I can email, and everything else I can do at my office.  It is really helpful.

My husband's company is a re-seller for all the Major cell phone companies (Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, T-Mobile etc) and he can save you some money when you order an aircard or cell phone, and it will come right to your door.  If you are interested, shoot me an email.

It is a great tip, but I have a smart phone, I do think that it is less expensive than the air card.  The wireless is so readily available that it is easy to stay in touch.

I have had a Verizon air card for at least  6 years now and love it.  I discontinued my cable, use my air card, I can work anywhere and be connected.  I even did a contract at a vacant house and e-mailed it to them , when they got home it was there they signed it and e-mailed it back to me.  Reception is great and the price is now down (when I started it was $100 a month).
