The weather is warming up and it won't be long before the kids are out of school for summer vacation and lots of family time will ensue. That means you don't have to handle a bunch of chemicals, including the stabilizer which encourages algae growth.

- Most chlorine pools can be converted to saltwater and installation is easy enough for the owner to do.
Saltwater pools aren't completely maintenance-free, but it definitely reduces the amount you will need to do. Of course, if you don't feel you'll be an active pool user, but would still like access to a pool, there are numerous neighborhoods in the Wilmington area that have a community pool. Remember, if you plan to purchase a home and add a swimming pool to it, we recommend doing your research on limitations prior to the end of the Due Diligence Period (even prior to making the official offer, if you can). Some homeowners associations won't allow pools to be installed and not every property will meet the require setbacks. Plus, every pool in the Wilmington area must be surrounded by a fence (back yard or aligned only with the pool).
