Fascinating creature and what stands out the most? It minds its own business
When I lived in Panama as a child, we would pass a sloth asleep on the road in the morning on our way to school and it would be there still sleeping isn't he afternoon. They are cute in a Bleery eyed way

Sounds like a very interesting childhood Lise Howe! Sloths, like my cats, get their 231/2 hours of sleep a day. As I write, my cats are sleeping nearby, in a strip of sunlight streaming in through my kitchen window.
Victoria and Marshall - My step-daughter is half Tico (Costa Rican), and I was fortunate enough to visit Costa Rica about 12 years ago. I also loved that country, and we were able to see all sorts of different animals, including the sloth.
Hi Troy Erickson! Didn't know Tico meant Costa Rican but that is very cool. We loved the people and the animals. We will go back with more of our family members, especially great place for surfing.
