I like the Walt Disney example.  He truly did have an imagination and the tenacity to back up his creations.  Did you know that his Micky Mouse cartoon idea was denied funding by over 300 bankers before someone said "yes?"  

And Nikola Tesla would envision his inventions down to the smallest detail in his mind before he would begin to put it on paper and then build it.
