Squirrel Streaking Down the Road

Today while outside fixing a sprinkler head, I saw something moving in the bushes. We get bunnies so I thought I had spotted a cotton tail rabbit.

Then all of a sudden, this squirrel pops it head out of the bushes. I ran for my camera and it started STREAKING down the street.

But then it stopped so nicely for me to get a few good photos. Thanks Mr. Squirrel.

And then he ran off. Bye Bye....

Kristin, you have to be pretty quick to capture a picture of a squirrel.

Hi Kevin J. May

I love to take wildlife pictures and squirrels seem to be the hardest due to their speed. Thanks.

Hi Lise Howe

I have a Cannon EOS Rebel and it gives me pretty good shots. I missed the cutest shot where the squirrel was peeking out of the hedge but I had to go get my camera v-e-r-y-----q-u-i-e-t-l-y. It took about 30 seconds but I will be looking again as they tend to go back to the same places for shelter and food.

Hi James Dray

I was surprised when he/she stopped and let me get a few shots before taking off. "I'll be back" tomorrow so I will have my camera ready.

Hi Sheila Anderson

Yes, like the squirrel was saying "I will work for some tasty bites" and let you take pictures.

Hi Bruce Walter

I have learned to just keep taking the shots as it can be 10 photos to get one good one. I let the camera do the work mainly as it takes too much time to change the adjustments when animals are moving.

Don't think I've ever seen a squirrel in full gallop before. Perhaps he was reliving the Derby.

Hi Debbie Reynolds

He is probably not happy right now as they just graded most of the fields for new homes. Hope he finds a safe hole from the red hawk predators.
