Saturday afternoon was spent doing a final walk through with some buyer clients. Usually these take me about half an hour. This one took 2 hours! But it was well worth it.
I met my clients at the house and we walked through checking the repairs and the house in general. Things looked great and as we stood talking about how excited they were to buy this home. About then the listing agents showed up.
We spoke to the agents for about half an hour and everyone had a good time. The listing agents left and as my clients and I stood in the driveway saying good bye, the home owner drove up. I had met him a few times, but this was the first time my clients were to meet with him. Back into the house we went, discussing this and that about the home.
We finally made our way out again and left. About 10 minutes later my phone rings and it is the home seller again. After thanking me for all my hard work to make this sale happen, he said, "You are a class act, thanks!"
What a great afternoon. It is those times when we actually get accolades for just doing our job that we can bask for a moment in the glory. About 30 seconds later I was off to do more real estate things, but still enjoying the glow.
