Looking for ways to spruce up your home without putting yourself in the poorhouse? Whether you're getting ready to sell your home or want to well-groomed it up inexpensively for your own enjoyment, we've got:

10 Tips for Economical strategies for you to consider.

1. Trash your extra stuff.

If you don't want to move it, just go ahead and get rid of it.

2. Do a deep clean.

The first impression once a buyer walks in a house is very important. What do they see and what do they smell is what we need to consider.

3. Put on a first coat of paint.

If there is an area that needs to be toned, paint it immediately. Again, first impression once a buyer walks in a house is very important.

4. Buff up the Bathroom.

Bathrooms are often the most important rooms to update. If your tub and shower are looking dingy, consider re-grouting the tile and replacing any chipped tiles.

5. Refreshing the Lighting.

If you have some light fixtures that the light bulbs are really down, replace the light bulbs immediately. Make sure that every room is bright.

6. Basement usable area.

Make a usable area in your basement to show buyers that they can add space in the basement.

7. Upgrading the Kitchen.

Clean your appliances very well. Make sure that all your appliances look like they are new. Make them shine, fresh and be sure that it is still usable.

8. Revamping the floors.

Buffing the floors if you have hard wood, Tile if the grouting is to be cleaned, filling in cracks or touching it up.  Be sure to that the floor looks  great and in good condition.

9. Small hard work things.

If you have doorknobs and handles or doors that are broken or really old or dingy, go ahead and replace them immediately.

10. Consider curb appeal.

What buyers see when they first drive by your home is tremendously important. These kinds of changes can instantly change people's perception of your home and, therefore, increase its value.  I always recommend making sure the front door is clean, lock works and it is welcoming, as this is the first impression as a serious buyer will have as they enter the home.

First impression, it can be just minor repairs but if left in disrepair, buyers wonder what other items they’ve missed that could be costly. Make the house look as though you've taken good care of it, preserved it, make it cleaned. Love your home over the years. Those details tell a buyer that someone has really taken care of the home and can really influence its price.
