Internet Data Integrity: Is it Really Important?

By

Does anybody out there feel that the integrity of Real Estate data is of any importance?

Do you think the consumer cares if they are getting accurate data?

What if a website had Bad Data?  Would you spend your advertising dollars there?

Just curious...

Of course the consumer cares if they are getting accurate data but they don't always question what they are reading to know they are being misinformed. Would I spend my ad dollars on a bad website? No way, silly. But, who determines a bad site. Everyone sees things differently and while a page may not look good to you someone else may love it. Truthfully, I don't believe in paying for any online advertising. There are enough free sites out there, like Active Rain, that I don't need to.

Thanks Patrick,

Would a website that displays Expired listings meet your (or anyone's) definition of a "Bad" website?

How about a website that is STILL displaying a listing which Expired in 2004 (and still shows it as active) among many other issues?

What if it was a 'Big' National company (Homes.com)?

What if they have been made aware of this (and other) issues REPEATEDLY for Over 9 months? - by a Paying Advertiser, no less!

Would that meet your definition?

What if you have documentation that you wanted to cancel your advertising and they still bill you more than a month after?

(I'm not picking on you - I am just venting my frustration (which is Very high right now) given the circumstances).
