What a fun way to explore downtown Hickory and it's newest pubs. You can explore the future Hickory Greenway along with enjoying food and refreshments at one of the newest restaurant and pubs in the area, American Honor Ale House on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
The casual bicycle ride will loop through the city along Main Ave through downtown, and out to the recently refurbished Piedmont Wagon Building.
From there, you will travel down to the future site of the Hickory River Walk at Rotary Park, then returning back to American Honor Ale House.
The ride will begin at 6pm, (please arrive 15 minutes earlier to prepare for the ride). You can park your car along the railroad on Main Ave SE.
This will be an easy to slow paced 10 mile ride. All you need is a helmet and a bike. (no spandex needed)
Afterwards, stay and have a drink or eat some food. You can also learn more about cycling in the Hickory area, and about the Hickory Velo Club.
