Welcome!  Alamogordo, New Mexico is probably one of the best kept secrets.  We have some of the best weather in the u.S., quality homes in price ranges for everyone, and the friendliest people around.  A traffice jam is 3 cars at the stop sign or stop light, and the biggest problem you run into is everyone at a 4 way stop wants you to go first!

White Sands National Park is about 10 miles from downtown.  If you haven't visited this park, you need to put it at the top of your list for things to do.  We have a beautiful public golf course with homes around it for less than $250,000... hard to believe, I know!  Check out our Chamber of Commerce website http://www.alamogordo.com/ .

Cloudcroft, NM is about 14 miles from Alamogordo.  Its elevation is about 8500 feet compared to Alamogordo's 4500 feet.  Snow is abundant in the winter time and summers are cool!  Check out their website http://www.cloudcroft.com/ .

Holloman Air Force Base is about 7 miles from Alamogordo.  Holloman was home to the Stealth jet.  The Stealth is being retired and will soon be replaced by the F-22 jet.  Many of the crew are being transferred to Langley AFB in Virginia and the Langley AFB crews are being transferred to Alamogordo.  We welcome their arrival.
