The March month-end tally of homes sold showed a decline year on year as compared to 2013 which caught many of us by surprise. The prediction has been that 2014 will be a banner year, but we appear to be off to a slower than expected start.
The April results are just in and show an uptick in closings, but still more than 20% lower than than the year prior.
What really grabs my eye is the absence in closings in these two months over the $ million mark. New inventory has come to market in this price band but buyers seems to have pulled back, exercising more caution and care both in terms of product and price.
