If you come to Scottsdale very often (perhaps on vacation) you might stay in one of the many plush resorts that Scottsdale is famous for. Many of the resorts are located near old town Scottsdale or central Scottsdale in the McCormick Ranch & Gainey Ranch area. This area is all very green, groomed, & quite beautiful. In fact, during my first trip to Scottsdale I had the fortunate experience to stay at the Arizona Biltmore. It was during my stay at the Biltmore that I decided i would like to live in Scottsdale. (Coming from Ohio, that was a big change).
Some years later I finally moved to Arizona, however I moved to the Ahwatukee Foothills area which was very nice. I lived there several years however (still) yearned for the Scottsdale lifestyle & amenities. After some serious searching, I ended up in North Scottsdale, that's North of the Loop 101. I can look out my window at the McDowell Mountains or down into the City of Phoenix. Of course, the vegetation & landscaping changes quite a bit. Since the elevation is quite a bit higher than Old Town Scottsdale & Phoenix, we have mountain views, city lights, mesquite trees, & saguaro cactus surrounding us.
Which brings me to my point (I realize I've been rambling).
