What's happening this quarter? Glad you're here because people are always asking me
“How many homes are selling?" How well we are seeing improvement seems to make a difference in what area or subdivision you live in. It’s really not an evasive answer, it's an accurate one. Each area and subdivision is totally different! Here’s what I can tell you about the overall Streamwood market –
Single Family Homes - Streamwood averages 30 home sales a month. Inventory is down which is similar in surrounding communities. The percentage of homes going under contract each month is 20 to 31%. Average Sold Price was $164,100 for the 1st quarter of 2015.
Multi-Family Homes - Streamwood averages 19 sales per month. Inventory dipped dramatically and is now lower than single family homes. The percentage of homes going under contract each month is 17 to 39% which is higher overall than single family. Average sold price was $116,200 for the 1st quarter.
Looking for a home in Streamwood? This is a great time to get your first home, move to a smaller home, or move to a larger home. Interest rates are still affordable and there are many different programs available depending on your down payment.
