I have looked at my calendar today and see that it is the anniversary of the pony express. How did we get here. Yesterday I was working with clients in Spain and last night I was suggesting to prospective clients that we market their properties to clients in Great Britain. At this point in my marketing career I am surprised that something called blogging has become one of the best tools that I have. Giving other people the chance to see that I am not just a salesman, that I have family and I get involved and that when I get those late night requests for help that I am here to help just like my fellow rain makers.
SInce I have joined the Active Rain network I have been surprised to have that comment from my competitors saying good job Bob and then later to find out that they had heard my name around these blog sites. I have a good job comment to make to my fellow Realtors here in Healdsburg. Good job on your networking, Good job on your community service, Good job on helping keep sports in the schools, music in the schools and making our Realtor voices heard at the government level.
One of the greatest joys that I get from being a Realtor is shaing my ideas with my fellow Realtors at our Thursday morning MLS meeting. We get together and share what is going on and how we can make our industry better at the personal level, community level and the world level. The best part of all that is when I see those same Realtors the following week volunteering in the community or hearing from my kids that their school has received help from our group.
So with all that said my hat is off to those Pony Express riders that showed us that the impossible is easily achievable if you follow your dream, work with others to get their dreams fulfilled, hand off what is to difficult and to sometimes stop for a minute to to enjoy the journey.
