If you blink, your children will be all grown up. It happens in a flash and you wonder where all those days went. I'm sure it feels like a forever journey to my Abigail that will have birthday number 27 next month, but the 22 years between these two photos taken by a rose bush in her Grandmother's yard have just swooshed by. Now maybe we'll be back here in 5 years taking the next one when she graduates from Medical School. A lot has happened in those 22 years.

What you say about events that run parallel to life's timelines are so true. On Saturday, I looked at my granddaughters, while we watched their mother receive her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. The granddaughter who is now 15, was only a toddler, when my daughter began the process toward her degree. The younger 11 year old, wasn't even a twinkle in her dad's eye!

My mother used to shoot photos of us kids in front of trees and bushes, LOL. Of course, we didn't live anywhere long enough to do it twice. How fortunate you are that your family stays put!

Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents I have an uncle in the house my dad's parents lived in when I was as young as 5 and my mom's baby brother tore down my grandmother's 60 years old house, but built a new one in the same spot. My parents have been where they live now for 41 years although they built a new house 4 years ago and tore down the one we moved to when I was just 9. And Donald and I have spent all of our married life in the same house and I expect we'll just move one time in about 10 years from now to our age in place home that I'm building in my head. We do stay put.

When a mother lives vicariously through her daughter and continues to cheer her on through all those milestones, she lives a long and happy life too. Yes! Time passes quickly. May graduations never go out of style and photographs should be many to celebrate all those years in between.

Oh you have to be proud as punch. What a happy girl and she has such ambition but also I can see her compassion and care for others in her face. She was taught right by a terrific mom.
