You Tube And MAR (Maine Association Of Realtors) have launched a campaign to get the word out that now is the time to buy a Maine home.  Why now?

Low low rates for starters.  Attractive selection from Maine coastal and lake homes, to first time home buyer Maine State Housing properties to rural country homes with acreage.  Investment and multi unit property supplies offer tremendous options for someone in the market for Maine real estate now. If you listened to a steady diet of the national media, you would get the sense that everyone is waiting for someone to give the signal to consider buying.  MAR has aggressively taken the bull by the horns to spotlight the postive factors all in place in Maine to broadcast loud and clear that the time is now to buy.  All the real estate planets are lined up to make this the best time to purchase for home buyers. You don't have to be stalled at a red light held captive by a media forecast of gloom and doom, fearful of buying.  In the early 1980's, I bought my first home for an attractive Maine State Housing home loan interest rate of 12.5%. Prevailing bank rates were 16% and higher.  I was grateful for my rate but when you consider 5-6% fix rate mortgages available today, take advantage of cheap cheap money.  MAR's executive Cindy Butts asked me to be the guinea pig to whip up a video to help get the You Tube / MAR "Your Piece Of Maine" campaign underway as the media picks up on the $20,000 contest to increase home buying awareness.  So, here are two You Tube insertions to put in my two cents on why now is the time to buy a home...and to make sure it is a Maine home.
