Qassia, worth a try.

Qassia is a backlink generating website.  Adam Waldman had sent an invitation to me a couple of weeks ago... I just finally got around to checking it out.

The basic deal is that we write small posts (called intels) and for each one we get a backlink.  The backlinks are not reciprocated, so they actually have a higher SEO value than reciprocated backlinks.  There are also the benefits of belonging to yet another social network.

It is free to sign up and participate, and the site is still in beta, so apparently one needs an invitation to join up.  Here is an invite (which is a link to my page...).  Feel free to wander over and sign up if you think it is interesting.  And for you point hounds, they have a points system, too...

Have fun.

You should check out Mareen McCabes recent post about Quassia.  You might want to rethink the value of using this site.

I can't keep up slow the train down I can barely blog and you want me to Quassia. I seem to alway come in after it has been successful and someone else has played with it for a few weeks. Thanks for the invite.

Miriam - I looked and I see her point... but I didn't see the ads.  Also, part of the value (possibly the main value) is the backlinks.  Finally, I see a lot of A/R folks there.

Terry - I'll tell you right now that I won't be producing any original content for that outlet.  I'm about at the end of that rope.

Not exactly sure about Qassia, but looking into it, just signed up. --Carla

I've bookmarked your post.  don't have time right now, but will look at it and if appropriate, I'll sign-up under you.  I'm actually, considering the point of diminishing return for social sites and the time invested.

Carla - I'm not sure about it either.  I'm looking to boost page rank... although, I am not making it a mission.

Notary - I'm right there with you.  I will keep up a profile, but I am only going to really participate in a few Social Medias.  I'm almost to the point where I need to schedule updating days for each of them so that I don't forget...

Lane - I signed up for Qassia when the word was going around AR a couple of months ago, but have had no time to go back! Also, it seemed from the small print we would be giving up the rights to our content, but I'm not real up on this stuff. Figured I'd go back one day for the back links, but too much on my plate right now. I don't know how people hit the many different medias!

Karen - I am limiting myself to just a few...  I can't keep up with 30 different sites.

Alan - This one is on my back-burner...  I don't need sleep, but I have to take a food break now and again.
