Fort Smith ClassicThe 2008 Ft. Smith Classic will begin May 5 - 11, 2008.  This PGA Tourevent is Arkansas' only PGA Tour.  The Classic will be held at beautiful Hardscrablle Country Club in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

The Ft. Smith Classic is in it's eleventh year here, and we are honored to host such a great event in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. 

Proceeds benefit the Beth Koprovic Memorial Charities to improve the lives of area children: The Children's Emergency Shelter, Children's Service League, Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs, Girls Incorporated and The First Tee of Fort Smith.  If that's not enough incentive to get out and volunteer or see this event, I don't know what is!!

Ray  It's always great news for a city when the PGA comes to town!  Tulsa's Southern Hills has hosted the championship four times.  The folks that migrate to the tour events are nice & they love to spend money.  Good for Ft. Smith!

I don't play golf but I know this is great news for Arkansas. I wish the PGA Tour can be in Washington,DC, Maryland and/or Virginia someday. Great post.
