It’s all connected!
Everything is always moving!
“In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear systemcan result in large differences in a later state. The name of the effect, coined by Edward Lorenz, is derived from the metaphorical example of the details of a hurricane (exact time of formation, exact path taken) being influenced by minor perturbations such as the flapping of the wings of a distant butterfly several weeks earlier.”
The Droid update for the Samsung S5 rendered “incompatible” MANY popular apps . . . and significantly affected my course of action on a project which it appears may end being a blessing.
Google recently tweaked a few components of Chrome which significantly altered my ability to print from chrome on ONE of my computers . . . so I’ve had to shift my internet work at the office to Internet Explorer until the bug is exterminated.
I can’t afford the time it would take to debug it now, so I’ve moved on to a less desirable but functional alternative.
This is the truth of leverage.
Sometimes, even the smallest of tweaks in your business practices can create WILD swings (positive or negative) in productivity.
A subtle shift in your way of working with clients could be misconstrued as a lack of caring . . . and your prospects might move on to your competitors . . . because they are “functional”
Many people will be SO “conflict Avoidance” that they won’t tell you why they’re leaving . . . they’ll simply disappear . . .
Will you notice? (Other than in your loss of revenue).
Will you care?
Change is inevitable and always . . . Like Death and Taxes!
Just be aware – VERY aware – of the butterfly effect WRT to your tinkering with your processes.
Even your most loyal customers will vamoose within hours of feeling neglected and unloved and unspecial by YOU!
Enjoy riding the wave!
