2015 Memorial Day Happenings in Rhode Island
According to Wikipedia, Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday in May for which we remember those who died while serving in the country's armed forces. Formally known as Decoration Day which originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the the war.
It is a time to remember and reflect for those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. It is also a time to celebrate being with family and friends and to welcome in the Summer.
