Little Action in Mixed Market

Stocks failed to set any new records today as both the Dow and the S & P 500 closed down.  we have not seen much movement in either direction since the three major brokerage firms had diametrically opposed predictions of the stock markets direction earlier in the week.  Tomorrow economic reports will come out on initial unemployment claims, existing home sales and the Philadelphia Fed.  The Dow was down 26 points today.
