New Milford TENNIS & SWIM CLUB 2015 Season in Full Swing!
The season officially started on Saturday, May 23rd with a barbecue event at the club, where guests were entertained with a live band. The weather did not entirely cooperate as our local temperatures dipped into the low 30's overnight yet again; the morning was cool and breezy, but the sun was bright and eventually overcame the earlier chill, making the day gorgeous.
While only young children dared to brave the pool, tennis enthusiasts loved the beautifully-maintained har-tru surfaces and warmed up quickly on the courts. It was a great day for tennis!
Some enjoyed the new Pickle Ball courts. Pickle Ball is a racket sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. It is played with a smaller paddle.
Good fun was had by all and more to come as various tennis and swim programs get underway for adults, teens and younger children. See you there!
