Another festival is on it's way to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It's the Red Stick Animation Festival. The festival is going to be held April 16-19 at several different venues. These venues include: The Shaw Center, Manship Theatre, Louisiana Arts & Science Museum & Louisiana Old State Capital.

The Red Stick Animation Festival provides  a unique opportunity for all creative minds to come together and share ideas. The Animation Festival provides animators, directors, students, artists, writers, designers and educators a forum where everyone can share their knowledge, skills and ideas on animation.

There are two different types of passes for Baton Rouge's Red Stick Animation Festival. They are gold and red. The gold passes are for events. This pass will give you access to all lectures and screenings  and it's required to purchase workshop tickets. Gold passes are $50 and you can get them from the Manship Theatre. Gold passes are free to ASIFA members. The red passes are free.

 

FESTIVAL EVENTS

 

Screenings & Films

Screenings will take place at the Manship Theatre, The Shaw Center, Old State Capital & LASM Planetarium.
Screenings are free but registration is required. Screenings will include major releases,
foreign animation, and competition winners from partner festivals.
