  PORK TENDERLOIN IN RED WINE

(Phase: 1 South Beach Friendly)
Preheat Crockpot: low

1 (2 pound) pork tenderloin
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 cup water
3/4 cup red wine
3 tablespoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons soy sauce
freshly ground black pepper to taste

Place pork tenderloin in a slow cooker with the contents of the soup packet. Pour water, wine, and soy sauce over the top, turning the pork to coat.

Carefully spread garlic over the pork, leaving as much on top of the roast during cooking as possible. Sprinkle with pepper, cover, and cook on low setting for 4-6 hours. Serve with cooking liquid on the side as au jus.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This tastes very "French"....I also add fresh baby carrots and potato and cabbage wedges for a complete dinner.
(carrots, then potatoes, then cabbage...till cooked)
DELICIOUS....ENJOY
Hi Carole...I have found I do a lot of crockpot dinners these days! It takes a bit more planning when shopping but is well worth it at the end of a long day!
It would make a great marinade William cause there's no oil to flare...save it and cook the mainade ..then you can use it as a sauce!
I love crockpot recipes.  Always looking for some new ones.  Glad I opened this.  I would have never know it was crockpot recipe.  You should put that in the title for more views.
