Learn Signs of a Stroke| Remember F.A.S.T.| Call 911
All of us should be able to recognize the signs of a stroke having struck family member or another person. This definitely can be a life or death situation. It has been found from documented research, risk of having a stroke doubles every decade of life after you reach the age of 55 years old. Taking immediate action is critical.

The after effects from suffering a stroke include but are not limited to vision and speech problems, memory loss and issues and paralysis. A person who suffers a stroke may never be the same again. The financial damage of suffering a stroke can be devastating to the the individual and the whole family.
The initials to remember for recognizing a Stroke are F.A.S.T.The critical signs that you or someone else is suffering a stroke are as follows:
Facial Drooping - Is one side of the person's face drooping or is it numb? Ask the person to smile and check to see if it is uneven. No smile or response there is a problem.
Arm Weakness - Is one arm very numb or extremely weak? A simple test is to ask the person to raise both arms at the same time. Watch for anything unusual.
Speech Issues - Is the person’s speech slurred or not understandable. Is the person even able to speak at all. Ask the person to say a simple sentence like “ See the Dog running” or “See Spot run”.
Time - Call 911 if someone shows any of these signs and that includes situations where symptoms go away. Get the person to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately without delay as time is critical.
