Our church cemetary holds a celebration on Memorial Day. I have attended this event since its inception 15 years ago. this was the the first time we got very wet. Nobody left, this cemetsry has graves going back to the War of 1812.
Every veteran's grave receives a flag placed by the local Boy scout and Cub Scout pack. The VFW provides an honor guard and a 21 gun salute. It normally is a moving experience each year.
