Lou- I noticed that more investors are now buying up land to hold for future projects when the maket turns around.  Unless you are on an island where sometimes they extend the land area by reclaiming the sea, no new land is being made....lol

Jennifer, I have seen the same trend here in Ulster County when it come to land.  Land seems to fluxuate on a smaller margin than homes or commercial property.  Although the primary reason is that land has a fixed inventory, the other factor is our area's proximity to New York City.  Regardless of the current market, New York City home owners will always look for some way to go north (and the Hamptons are out of the question).
