Honor your commitments or Y-O-U might be S.O.L.!
Not only do clients look to us to help guide them to a successful end result, we also depend on affiliates to do their part. An appraisal was scheduled and confirmed. I received a call 2 hours before the appointment saying the appraiser was unable to show.
She asked if they could reschedule for a later time due to some snags in the schedule. At this point, I found out that another appointment was put in front this one and told her this was unacceptable.
The home is rented and the tenants require a 24 hour notice for any showings, etc., the owner lives quite a distance from the home and this would put them much too close to deadlines.
I told her that I would call the lender and have their service contact another appraisal company, that this was poor business practice. Less than 5 minutes later, I was notified they were able to keep the appointment.
Honor your commitments, there are people counting on Y-O-U or you could be S.O.L.!
