5 GREAT THINGS ABOUT LIVING IN THE DFW AREA
Housing continues to appreciate in value in most cities in the DFW area and what would cost about one million or more in California can cost approximately between $350,000 to $499,000. This listing sold for under $450,000.00 located on a peninsula backing up to Corp Engineer property.
There are two zoos to visit. One is the Dallas Zoo; the other is the Fort Worth Zoo. It's a great place for families to spend the day and kids seem to love it so much they never want to leave! Halloween is fun at the zoo for kids and animals alike. Boo at the Zoo offers spectacular family fun at the Fort Worth Zoo.
For peace and tranquility I recommend Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth followed by dinner at Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant located at 2201 N. Commerce or Japanese Palace at 8445 Camp Bowie in Fort Worth. But if you get there early, you might want to start the day at Ol' South Pancake House at 1509 South University Drive.
This summer the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens features Fairy Tales with a Texas Twist. Pecan Grove will once again be filled with the whimsy and magic of four giant houses draped in red, white and blue appealing to the young and young at heart with storybook tie-ins and unmatched floral displays. As the summer progresses, the houses will transition to Autumn foliage and the famous pumpkin patch. There will also be music concerts in the park. Check the website for current attractions.
The gardens are filled with
peace and quiet. It's a great place to take pictures, exercise and relax!
And finally, education and diversity is very important. In Flower Mound, LISD has exemplary schools. It also has one of the best programs for children with Autism. Some of the Schools and Universities to consider are Southern Methodist University, Texas Woman's University, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas of Dallas, University of Dallas, Texas Wesleyan University, University of North Texas, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. There are many Community Colleges and Private Schools too. When it comes to the overall cost of living, DFW Metroplex is still an affordable place to live and work without paying State Income Tax and you get to enjoy warmer climate too! Texas DFW is a great place for education, residential properties, golf, fishing, boating, sports, tourism, health care, technology, entertainment, the arts, and conventions. The five great reasons to live in DFW are: 1) housing, 2) zoos, 3) botanical arboretums, 4) education, and 5) diversity.
