I have a dream client. Smart, humble and knows what he wants and what he doesn't want and knows the value of outsourcing subjects and services that he doesn't not know or shine in to those that do. He has the income earned from his labors and likes and wants value. Okay. So what is the problem?
A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR
Before I divulge the problem (?), I want to state that I go out of my way to help people get their monies worth when they decide to spend it on me. Then, I always look for opportunities to exceed that experience because quite frankly, it brings me joy when I do. Met and then exceed if I can
PROBLEM BE GONE!
Thus problems to me are things to pause, consider and then address, correct, and cure so we can continue the journey, commitment or task at hand. I have never truly really been stumped perhaps 1 or 2 times in my life and they weren't my problems, but the problems of others who came to me for help
HIS PROBLEM?
Richie, we got a problem. Oh we do...do we? Now what could that be I wonder sez I cool, confident and wanting to please. He says...I don't like your Real Estate signs. For honesty's sake, I paused never expecting that to even come up. My response: a slooow Okaaay.....? What do we do about it?
TOP OF THE LINE
He shares that his home, my listing, is custom, immaculate and expensive with lots of pride of ownership and he feels that he deserves a top of the line sign for this property. Hmm, what is that I wonder and ask him to explain or describe it to me
DREAM SIGN
He does! He goes into his vision of the sign as I am scribbling notes. Then come the questions about font, color schemes and what else do you want on the sign while we are at. He doesn't miss a beat answering it all and gets excited as a kid with the results. I will get back to you sez I.....
I LOVE THIS BUSINESS
I call my sign guy and tell em I need a high quality sign for a client for a top end ($$$) piece of property and I need it now. No problem he says at 8:00 p.m. at night. When I get what I want especially when I need it, I gladly pay for those services. He remained reasonable, available and grateful. I took note
HAVE IT YOUR WAY
The very next morning, my sign guy submits four different type signs to choose from adding that I can change anything the way I want it. Well I send that to my client and said, choose and create the sign you want in front of your house. He did and enjoyed it very much
REAL ESTATE
The end result? My sign guy gets good mouthed and earns my business. My client is happy as a clam and as we exceed his expectations. Me, I get a classy sign for all to see and then I realize... this is the business I am in! I want to meet all my promises and then, when given the chance, exceed them...for a very simple reason coming right up...
YES
My client will on his own, willingly and with joy, tell the time he called his agent and wanted some special customer service and without making him feel awkward or out of place, he was granted his request like if I was a Genie and he had rubbed my lamp. I hear and obey. In this case, a sign appears
PEOPLE TALK
WORD OF MOUTH...priceless. Look for every opportunity to tap into it and all the while, be reminded of its dark sister aptly called BAD word of mouth who looks for every opportunity to make trouble and cause losses real or not
