The Florida Caverns in Marianna Florida

The Florida Caverns State Park is an awesome place.  Everyone needs to visit the Florida Caverns. Inside the caves the temperature is cool.  It drops at the entrance and cool air wraps around your body as this faint, orange light hits your eyes.

It's dark inside the cave but inviting, strange but intreguing. The Caverns State Park Tour Cave is the only cave of its kind in Florida.

The state park, three miles north of Marianna, has the only tour cave in Florida's 159 state parks.  Rock formations that take names such as stalactites, stalagmites and flow stone look like icicles made of rock or even stone sculptures created by a world-renowned artist.

Thousands of people come to this park every year to see the cave.  If you move to this area or vist, the Caverns is something I hope you get to see.

Marianna Caverns is bizarre in its own right!   There are some smaller caves in Wakulla County (Gopher, a couple of others) but they don't hold a candle to Marianna Caverns.

Where is this in relation to Orlando? I'm going to be in Orlando in August. I would love to do this cave tour. I use to do a lot of caving in my younger days. I actually broke my tailbone in one expedition trying to help someone else. That was one of the most extremely painful things I have been through. I have been up to my waist in water with unknown creatures and I have been in very large underground caverns that very few people have ever seen.
