I KNOW YOUR AILMENT?

Everyone likes to share personal opinions. Take the medical arena. Not only do people share what their personal ailment or infliction was or is but the Internet allows for one to enlarge on their opinion considerably. However, unless you spent the seven years studying and interning, you may be leaving a lot out...an awful lot!

SUE THEM..YOU'LL WIN

Same with the legal profession. The stories abound and they even made TV shows and movies out it. People are quick to shout what should be done and how... adding emphasis to suing and winning. Yet having no law degree or actual knowledge of the law, they will still express strong opinions.

REAL ESTATE AGENT

Everyone I meet for some reason in the Real Estate business is highly opinionated. I have learned after doing this for decades that there are many ways to skin the Real Estate cat so I am not one to argue with someone who sees a different way to proceed. However, I am held to standards and not JUST opinions

EXPERIENCE STILL COUNTS

Agents invest themselves in every deal they do. That is the education that no opinion can claim. Take a seasoned veteran in any industry and their opinion has salt on it something you either have or you don't. Experience cannot be shoo-ed or poo-poo-ed away. It stands as a fact of record.

OH...I SEE

The other day, someone heard me making some Real Estate comments and remained silent. I inquired as to what they thought just to be friendly. Amazing what came out. First thing they said was, I strongly disagree with you and they went on to explain, you guessed it...THEIR OPINION...lol

AUTHORITY FROM GOLD OR GAB?

How can you tell someone, anyone that the way they see things is not right without getting into a argument? Point of view is selective and subjective making ones seeing and hearing valid to them but not necessarily to the circumstance. Of course, if you hold the gold and rule, your position wins out

I CAN DO POINT

I like to emphasize that having a team mentality when navigating through Real Estate is a healthy way to proceed. That being said, there is a team leader and point person who is committed to that position and outcomes. As a Broker, I stand ready when called upon to do the "point" work guaranteed. Can U?

RESULTS KEEP SCORE

I pointed out to a micro-managing, well meaning opinionated non-licensed person who knew just enough to make points and comments in Real Estate that at the end of the day, it is a results driven business. That means what is for sale gets sold and what is purchasable gets bought. Score on board!

ACCOUNTABILITY

It is interesting to note that if anything goes wrong, it is not the opinionated person that catches the blame, criticism or heat but the agent who should have known better. I couldn't agree more and that is why an agent has to have the final word if they are hired to produce a result

IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO?

If not, I have a famous line that I tell people who insist on having their way when involved in my transactions. It is simply this. If something goes not quite right, we will know where the problem lies. How? I make it a matter of record that we went that way...I am okay with it, but will you be?
