I JUST WANTED TO MAKE EVERYONE AWARE OF A SCAM BY MONEY TREE FUNDING.  IF YOU RECEIVE ANY TYPE OF EMAIL OR CONTACT FROM MONEY TREE FUNDING OR ROBERT BECK WHO "SAYS" THAT HE IS THE SALES MANAGER FOR MONEY TREE, DISREGARD THIS COMMUNICATION!  YOU WILL END UP PAYING FOR LEADS AND SERVICES THAT ARE NEVER DELIVERED.

I JUST WANTED TO MAKE EVERYONE AWARE OF THIS.  THEY PREY ON MORTGAGE BROKERS AND REALTORS BECAUSE OF THE SLOW HOUSING MARKET AND THE FACT THAT ALOT OF PROFESSIONALS IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY ARE HUNGRY FOR SALES RIGHT NOW.

PLEASE, PLEASE BE AWARE AND PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU'VE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS COMPANY ALSO!

I just received an email yesterday from Robert Beck with Lending Tree.  Thank you for starting this blog.  I thought it sounded like a scam.  It didn't add up, he's a "friendly realtor" working as a Sales Mgr. for a lending institution.  If he was legit, why wouldn't he send referrals to Realtors that are affiliated with his broker?

Exactly the way I feel Connie.  If affiliated with a broker, he would just want to receive a referral fee after closing.  I never even listen to the sales pitch from companies any longer that claim to provide you with "qualified leads".  If they were confident enough in their "qualified leads" they would except a referral check after the closing of the transaction...

Thank you so much!  You just saved me.  I was about to consider this company.  They called me a few minutes ago wanting me to sign a contract on the spot.  I told them that I needed to check with my broker first and they kept pushing me.  The representaitve said that he could answer any questios I had and that there was not need for me to check with my broker.  He gave me a phone number for reference of a man that probably works for him.  I told him that I needed time to google him and his company and thank God for your comment.  It is very important to keep each other informed.  Thanks again...

I'm maddddd.  Stinking mad!!!  Money tree is passing some of my "what I consider personal" info around on the internet selling it to brokers.  First off when I say some, I mean they don't have half of my info correct.  But the key thing is they have my name, email, address, and passing incorrect mortage info around on the internet.  They are selling it to banruptcy people and I am getting bugged right and left with mail and emails.  Phone number is incorrect, intrest incorrect, value is wrong, and etc...  If you have my info, the only two things that are correct is my name, email, home address, and that's it.  Sorry for not typing well, i'm just frustrated!!!!!  ntredneck@hotmail.com

Thanks so much for the blog!  We love it!  I hope that new agents especially would take their time to check around before they give their credit card numbers away.

Thanks Clint!

Money Tree Funding has been purchased by "Nationwide Financing".    They are now selling "leads" under this new name.

Don't be fooled.  These lead suppliers are a waste of your money.

These people are absolute crooks and now go by Nationwide Financing to cover their tracks.  They even provided me with references to call. Now they don't answer phones or email! Wish I had known they used to be MoneyTree but just discover that today.

I am wondering who to report them to?

I just reported these crooks to the Better Business Bureau and to the webhosting company. Maybe we can get the website shut down if more do the sale and complain

Hi All and thanks for the Heads Up!

I was online doing my due diligience as I too was contacted by Nationwide Financing.  I never invest any money before checking into things.  Especially in this market!  I became suspicious after I spoke with them as I had never heard of them and I have been six years in the business with a heavy emphasis on Internet marketing.  I do purchase leads from other companies with great success, but lately I have noticed that everyone and their brother are trying to sell leads to hurting REALTORS.  We all know that there is no quick fix for this market and we should all try to spend our marketing dollars wisely.

BTW Bev, I did check the CA BBB and there was nothing listed under Nationwide Financing, but I am sure it won't be long before they appear there.  In the meantime hopefully those scorned will add comments and those others will do what I did and go searching for information before handing out their credit card numbers!

Jason at Nationwide Financing almost got me.  It sounded like a good deal, but they were pushing so hard, it suddenly made me nervous.  I tried to call the number back after the faxed me an application.  The voice mail said it was Money Tree.  I left a message for them not to use the credit card # I had given them.    I immediately called my credit card company & informed then of my mistake.  I was told not to worry, as I had not faxed them back a signature.   Jason then started calling & was again way too pushy.  I told him I didn't want his services.  He started talking so fast I finally had to just hang up.  He called back and told not to be rude by hanging up again.  I told him not to call so I didn't have to.   He was a tenatious little bugger.

Thanks for the heads up guys.  What was that movie with Nicolas Cage?

David Wright is the supposed senior operations officer of Nationwide Financing and the loud voice scam artist you are describing. I got sucked in after doing what I thought  was my due diligence. We need to report this company ASAP. Be wary of Julien and Natalie and a Mark Warren. No one will help you, just put you off making it sound like they will get you better leads tomorrow. The cell for David Wright is 1-818-749-6149, if you want o speak to him personally.

Nationwide Financing is a scam so watch out. Cancel your credit card if you gave them you card number. Dispupt the charges they did put on your card. Print out all the complaints  on Activerain   and forward them to your credit card company as evidence. Document all emails and phone calls to them for evidence as well.

Good luck!!!!! 10/03/08

I went through Nationwide Financing for my leads and I have no complaints. People, you have to know how to sell your services! In the beginning when I call, my leads get upset but with those particular ones I simply & politely give them my number and within anywhere from 1 week to 3 months people remember and call me back asking my receptionist or I for a quote.

Its simple, know how and what you are doing and if you are good at it these leads will come in handy. Agents are salespeople, so you guys should know this. Some respond faster than others, but hey, it beats waiting by my phone in my office hoping someone gets me from Google or the Yellow Pages!

Well Timothy, I'm happy to hear that ONE person out of hundreds that I've heard from has has a good experience with these people.  The Better Business Bureau talks very negatively about this company and they are known throughtout the nation for selling unqualified leads (which they say they WILL NOT do).  Most people never even receive the first lead (qualified or not) from this company...

I was  a victim of this company.  I paid $300 up front for 30 well qualified "leads" within my area.  If I couldn't contact them, or were dissatisfied with them, they would be replaced, free.

They decided my area was a 100 mile diameter.   I didn't receive a single lead with good credit.   I tried to contact each one, to no avail.

They replaced the leads with ones equally as bad.

I asked for replacement again, and was told they already replaced the first ones, that's it, too bad

Nationwide Financing Realtor site:  I just got scammed by this company. Angelo called and said they would sell me leads for real people who were ready to buy and who had just filled out a loan application. What I got was bogus leads. None of the phone numbers matched the names of the people given to me. And none of the folks I called were looking for a home.

Lailani claims to be their manager. Her number is 818-444-7351. These people are complete scam artists. Do not believe anything that they say. Sue Pantages RE/MAX Equity group.
