Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) |Summer Science Night | Saving Monarchs
Already looking for something for your small children to do this summer in Katy TX? Consider Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) as it will hold program titled Saving Monarchs Wednesday June 10, 2015 at Indiangrass Preserve. The program starts at 6 PM and lasts until 8 PM. This science hand on class is for children ages 5-8 years old. Registration is required as it is for all the KPC programs.
KPC believes the best way to teach science to a child is using a on hands approach in the great outdoors. The Monarch butterfly is a wonderful symbol of beauty and the wild. These butterflies are rapidly declining on the Katy prairie and all though the state of Texas. This class will be taught by a Texas Master Naturist who will cover Monarch biology, migration and all of us can assist the Monarchs at school or at home.
The cost is inexpensive at $7.00 per child. Registration can be done here..
I understand all the KPC program for adults and children of all ages are excellent. Try this session and you may find an excellent path for keeping your child busy this summer as KPC has various program throughout the whole summer.
