Stowe Wine & Food Classic will take place at Trapp Family Lodge from Friday June 12th at 5:00 through Sunday June 14th at 4:00. This 17th annual event is a fundraiser for the benefit of Copley Hospital and The Vermont Food Bank. Recent Stowe Wine & Food Classics have netted roughly $20,000 each of donations split between the two charities. In the 16 years that the event has been running, donations have raised close to $290,000 for charity.
There will be tastings of over 100 wines from around the world along with an array of food choices from several area restaurants, cheese makers and brewers. There will be wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, live and silent auctions, dancing and a gala wine pairing dinner.
The Blues and Brews kickoff party will begin on Friday evening at 6:00 and will feature delicious wine and chocolate pairings. For the beer enthusiast, a cheese and beer pairing tasting will be available. Tickets for Friday evening's event are $10.
Saturday's Spanish Farm to Table dinner will take place at 6:00 prepared by renowned chefs with five exquisite courses paired with luscious wines from around the world. There will be a live auction with items including rare wines from the cellars of private collectors, large format bottles signed by winemakers, unique and luxury items as well as luxury vacations. Afterwards, there will be dancing under the stars. Tickets are $165 per person.
Sunday will feature a grand tasting from 12:00 - 4:00 which will include over 100 wines and superior food selections from our renowned chefs. Enjoy cooking demonstrations as these chefs demonstrate their culinary skills. There will also be a silent auction. There will be a special Vermont Pavilion where Vermont's wineries and artisanal cheese makers will display our local products. Tickets to Sunday's event are available for $60.
